Which web accounts should I review for deactivation for my loved one that passed away?

It is completely up to you to choose which accounts to deactivate for your loved ones. We recommend breaking them out into buckets: social, professional and financial, emotional, and miscellaneous.

Within the social, think through whether you’d like to deactivate or memorialize social accounts like Facebook and Instagram. For professional and financial reasons, take a look at LinkedIn and bank accounts. When it comes to the emotional, check for photo accounts like Google Photos. Miscellaneous can refer to accounts like Ancestry, for instance.
